Blog + Entrepreneur = Great SuccessWhat do you get when you cross a young, dedicated entrepreneur with a blog? You get Blogtrepreneur, a successful blog by a young man from the UK, Adnan.  Adnan has been blogging for much longer than many of us - since February of 2006.  At 17, he is  already a seasoned Internet entrepreneur.Blog + Entrepreneur = Great Success  Adnan has both experience and knowledge when it comes to entrepreneurial blogging. It is also clear that others have recognized this when you notice his 600+ RSS subscribers. This is no surprise; Blogtrepreneur contains a wealth of knowledge for budding and veteran bloggers alike.

The Importance of Uniqueness

The first thing you notice when you visit Blogtrepreneur is its unique design.  Adnan indicates that a unique design is absolutely necessary if you are looking to brand your blog.   Adnan believes that to be successful you MUST differentiate yourself from everyone else as soon as possible.

Build Your Blog with Blogtrepreneur

One of Adnan’s most popular posts this year has been his collection of 101 Essential Blogging Resources. By this I mean 723 Diggs popular! Adnan has put together a great list of useful resources including:

  • Hosting
  • Content Management Systems
  • Communication
  • Research
  • Customization
  • Statistics
  • Creating posts
  • Ranking
  • Feedreaders
  • Social media
  • Monetization and Advertising
  • Blogs and Forums

If you are new to the blogosphere, you should definitely check out Blogtrepreneur’s 101 Essential Blogging Resources.

Monetize Your Blog with Blogtrepreneur

Website monetization is a topic to which I am still fairly new, though I am working each day to become more skilled in this area.  A significant focus of Blogtrepreneur is helping you improve the monetization of your web sites. One of Adnan’s interesting posts was entitled, “Top 5 Forms Of Website and Blog Monetization for 2008″ in which he reports:

“…2008 will be a year of progression whereby we’ll build on the monetization methods of the year before. And with the amount of people joining the net and jumping onto the crazy money bandwagon, these forms of making cash online are only going to get more popular and bigger than ever before.”

Adnan is definitely on target about the changes that will be in store for monetization in the coming year. It is this kind of spot-on advice that makes Blogtrepreneur a great daily read.

Tremendous Growth!

RSS GrowthBlogtrepreneur experienced tremendous growth over the past year - Adnan managed to increase RSS subscribership by 142% through his unique “purple cow” blogging.

Great Advertising Opportunities

Blogtrepreneur currently has a Page Rank of 5, but I suspect within the next few updates, it will achieve a PR 6.  As a result, Blogtreprneur has some excellent advertising opportunities. You can read more about them here.

Conclusion

It took me only 5 minutes to decide that Blogtrepreneur was worth a spot in my Feedreader.  I congratulate Adnan for building a blog that is unique, informative, and enjoyable. The only thing missing from Blogtrepreneur is a “Popular Posts” page; there are simply too many good articles getting lost in the archives!   If you enjoy my blog, I strongly suggest you subscribe to Blogtrepreneur’s RSS Feed.

Hey Nate and thanks for the really kind review.

It’s been a rollercoaster of a ride with Blogtrepreneur - some days I’ve felt like quitting, other times I feel on top of the world when I receive links and comments from my readers.

Yeah uniqueness is something which I think is very important in the ’sphere as there are just too many blogs trying to compete in similar niches. Nate, you stand out from the crowd well with your custom design, but also with the custom-made graphics which make each post seem well thought-out and trustworthy.

Hehe that 101 post continues to bring in the backlinks, and was probably the best (and hardest to write) piece I’ve done. It managed to get saved on del.icio.us more than 1000 times!!! :)

Lol, I wish I was becoming a PR6. Chances are that I’ll remain at the PR5 stage for a bit - but it would be a nice surprise wouldn’t it?!

    Thanks again buddy,
    Adnan

I’ve been subscribing for a month or so. One of the best designed blogs in the blogging advice genre in my opinion :)

It’s so refreshing to see such a well designed blog like this! A lot of the “Blog to make money” just rehash John Chow’s template. You can learn a lot from good design from this blog, even if the content is irrelevant.

(I think I may incorporate some of the look in my designs too!)

Josh, Kevin and Rhys - Wow thanks for the really nice words. Whilst the custom blog design did set me back a few bob it was definitely worth it in the long run - probably one of the best investments I’ve made. Thanks again guys!

Great review, I agree about the unique design, it automatically stands out and couple with the impressive 600 RSS readers it makes for 1 hell of a first impression.

I thrilled you two swapped reviews, because I may not have found his site otherwise. Thanks!
