Yaro Starak just posted a great video addressing the question of, “Does blog design really matter?” Yaro echos a lot of the same sentiments I have been expressing about the importance of a unique blog design.

In the video, Yaro says:

Blog design matters. Having a unique design is better than using a theme that someone else uses or using the default theme from WordPress, but with the disclaimer that most people will tell you – that it’s not the most critical aspect of your blog.

Yaro later repeats that:

…investing in a unique blog design is a good thing to do because it presents your blog in a really professional light, it makes you stand out from the crowd, and it can make the difference between converting someone from just passerby into a regular reader or subscriber. If your content is great and your blog design appears to be really well done, people generally look at you as someone who is in the blogging business seriously so they are more likely to come back and read your blog.

This is a short video of 5th Gear visiting “America’s most exclusive car club,” the Van Horssen Group, which is located literally 5 minutes across the freeway from me here in Scottsdale, Arizona.

According to the owner, Ron Van Horssen:

Owners of super premium automobiles often drive them less than 1,000 miles each year, making it hardly worth the time and trouble to maintain them full-time. Van Horssen Group solves this problem – and goes far beyond the limits of traditional ownership – by offering national access to magnificent vehicles, which are impeccably maintained and delivered to your locations whenever you want to drive them.

What do you guys think? Is this a practical way to drive these supercars, or would you prefer to own them individually?

This movie is not for those with weak stomachs – amazing action, but very gruesome. This was one of the first movies where almost every scene was shot infront of a green-screen. All of the backdrops were then rendered by computer graphics.

If you are into action, I highly recommend you check out 300. Check out this video detailing this super-intensive workout the actors had to do to give them their Greek statue look. Pretty amazing…

They say in the world of advertising, there is no such thing as bad publicity. As long as you evoke a passionate response from your audience, then you are getting their attention. But, when does lousy advertising equal good publicity? Apparently, when it is so hilarious that people can’t help but watch to see how much more ridiculous it gets.

Case in point, this commercial was submitted to YouTube and was later submitted to Reddit and received over 500 votes and gained over a hundred comments, and almost 200,000 views at the time I am writing this. I couldn’t help but wonder when it was going to end, and what their ad agency was smoking when they produced it. It is so unbelievable it almost seems like a parody. Just watch.

It’s just like, it’s just like, a mini mall! Hey, hey!
