I think authority and credibility is the different things but related. A person who have credibility might not be an authority but an authority must have credibility.

I found the book “the speed of trust” by steven is really a good book that talk about credibility, a dry topic but a joy to read for me.

Sam, I agree that WAY too many people think starting a blog about making money online will actually make them money online. I chose to go a slightly different route by spending most of my time on business, blogging, and marketing. I think those are more applicable to long term profits than short term gains, such as Adsense tricks. “Make money online” is definitely not the only keyword out there worth ranking for.

Mr. Scott, thank you for taking the time to check out my blog and congratulations on your enjoyable and informative book. I am just getting into the chapter of how blogging has changed your life. I have always said that blogging has changed my life too, and I have only been blogging for four months. I would also like to write a book in the next six months-year describing how blogging has changed my life and what I have learned in the process.

I agree – I think it is super cool that the world now has access to our ideas, opinions, and ramblings. That’s really cool that your book is being translated into those other languages. China is a market we are working with in one of our current business ventures. Your definitely deserves to be shared with other non-English speakers of the world because it truly is an innovative, revolutionary, and spot-on look into the new world of marketing.

I will definitely check out your blog as well. Your writing style is both easy to digest and highly informative at the same time. I am already thinking about the online world differently even after the first 50 pages of your book.

I agree that the niche is saturated, but being as that concepts for making money online are always changing, you can still enter into it an be successful. Competition will be found in 99% of niches out there. Even if you create your own, you will have competition entering into your niche (if it is any good of course). Try to differentiate yourself somehow from your peers in the blogosphere and you may have a shot at the make money online niche. Like N8 said in his article, serve your audience.

Many thanks for taking the time to write about my book here. Cool that you found the first third of the book useful and hope that I can sustain your enthusiasm for the rest. Well, certainly the other case examples are inspiring and worth reading even if you tire of my commentary.

One thing that is so cool about blogging is that you attract a global audience. For example, in my case as a result of my global following, my agent has sold the translation rights for “The New Rules” in Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, Czech, and Portuguese with more languages to come. You can’t do that with some stupid direct mail campaign…

Great blog you have here. I’ll have to stop by now and then.
