Project Natal Demo on Jimmy Fallon
Posted on June 11, 2009 by Nate Whitehill
Project Natal is going to change video gaming. Microsoft will release this as an upgrade for all XBox 360 systems in 2010. It truly is what the Nintendo Wii should have been. Check out this video of Project Natal being demoed on the Jimmy Fallon show.
What do you think? Are you going to buy Project Natal when it comes out?

I am so happy that I have an xbox 360 instead of the ps3. This looks amazing. Now I just gotta find a sucker who will buy my wii. I think this is the longest that I have watched the Jimmy Fallon show too. Even after 5 minutes I have the urge to punch him.

Maybe Jimmy should just move his show over to G4 since that’s where the majority of his bits are coming from anyway.

It’s pretty impressive that the Natal machine, allows you to move freely as a way to control the character, which in my opinion makes it even simpler for non gamers who may not be accustomed to holding a controller, lol. Wii was only the beginning, I imagine once Microsoft really dives into the motion gaming industry we will have alot of high quality games to play, and get even closer to that virtual 3d world we have all dreamed of. I certainly expect things to only get better in the future.
Till then,

Well that certainly seems cool. I wonder if some kids will go all out crazy and possibly kick some of their moms vases onto the floor or something like that … .lol. What about those two player fighting games.. I guess then you really are dueling with your friend in this one .. lol just kidding.

Absolutely – In my opinion the Wii is a little bit too “soft”. The xbox 360 seems have a bit more edge in it’s games, although I’ll give the Wii this it does try really hard and sometimes goes to far (Manhunt 2 anyone?)

Very cool…I have high hopes for Natal but I’ve also seen some videos that suggest it’s pretty buggy (like the MS guy who put his foot through his head — I think that one’s on Youtube). Microsoft has done a great job with the XBox lines so I’m hopeful the Natal continues this trend and gives the Wii a run for its money.

I am also happy that I choose an xbox 360 over an over priced ps3. Sony really seems to be slipping now.

Project Natal is just another novelty. Everyone will be extremely excited for couple months and afterwards forget about it and get back to their xboxes/ps3s. Because at the end of the day you want to relax while playing games, not work.

Yes Sony missed the mark with the PS3, but they are a big enough company that they will eventually bounce back with their own motion controlled video game system in time. I am really looking forward to Natal though. These kinds of games are good for all the kids who sit on the couch all day getting fat.

if Microsoft is indeed going to release a whole new Xbox 360, what do you think it should be called? Xbox 360 Natal doesn’t have the greatest ring to it.
