Awesome video, I posted it on <a href="http://markfulton.tumblr.com/" rel="nofollow">my Tumblog</a>. Thanks for sharing.

I have played Second Life off and on for years now. It is quite immersive and I can really see a metaverse becoming everyday "life" sooner than later. That kind of worries me but it also brings new opportunities for business, commerce, networking and communication on a global scale.

whoa... that floors me every time i watch it. most incredible to me is the thought that went into the names of the companies like "Prometheus". it's a really cool name first of all, but when you look at greek mythology, Prometheus (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prometheus) was the guy who stole fire from the gods and gave it to the mortals. you know that statue in NYC in front of the ice skating rink at rockefeller center? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Prometheus_at_Rockefeller_Center_by_David_Shankbone.jpg) yep. that's Prometheus holding the fire he took from zeus. hmmmm..... rockefeller...

Watching it and thinking about it again, I'm also a stakeholder in the old(current) way of life also because of my education. I'm training to be a journalist. I would be out in so many ways on this..

This video fuels the ultimate fantasies of those well-fed and free enough (think of what's happening in Myanmar) to afford access to computers. It makes me wonder if virtual reality can "feed" the starving, or "free" the oppressed, or "heal" those in pain, and if so, how can we ensure that everyone on the planet has equal access to those benefits? Unless all humanity has equal access to these virtual worlds, human history will continue to be the tragedy of the haves and have-nots, or, as this video suggests, the Agavs, and the Agav-nots.

A lot of things about that video were spooky for me. The first thing I thought of was standing on stage in front of hundreds of people with my guitar. And how hard I had to work to get there. If in 20 years somebody can just buy that experience it would really cheapen my entire life. Haha. Freaky stuff.

That's crazy. I've seen a video similar to that, but the topic is about Halo and how it's taking over the world today and the future.
