The New Shoemoney

The New Shoemoney

About a week ago, right after the launch of UBD and the redesigned John Chow theme, I received an email from Shoemoney who was interested in updating the look of his blog.

Shoemoney wanted to retain his basic layout, but polish it up with some web 2.0 goodness and add a few new features. Shoemoney is somewhat of a PHP guru so we were able to get his theme coded, tested, and configured real quickly.

What you see above is the finished product. You can read more about the design here.

Special thanks to Shoemoney for the design opportunity and also thanks to my super-awesome WP coder, Chris at PSDChopstick.com.

Success leads to success and high profile clients lead to credibility.

This is a real slamdunk for you Nate. UBD just seems to be exploding.

That is quite the impressive list of clientèle. Especially considering UBD is a relatively new design firm. Good job on the design.

I think it looks great - not a radical revision, as you say, just adds an update ‘feel’ to the whole site. Two thumbs up!

How much work have you been getting now that you’ve down blog designs for two big time bloggers? John Chow and Shoemoney have about a combined total of around 18,000 RSS subscribers, so I assume out of those 18k readers some of them have contacted you about getting a blog design done (and of course there are a lot of people that read their blogs that may not even subscribe to their feeds too).

Do you design vBulletin themes by chance (just the look, but not the coding perhaps?) I know it’s UniqueBlogDesigns, but perhaps you do designs for forums as well. Perhaps I’ll just email you…

I’m not usually a fan of 3-column layouts, but it looks cool - well done!

I’ve suddenly become a fan of the 3 column header and footer.. And JC and Shoemoney certainly got me motivated. Great job!
