6 Comments May 29, 2007 / Posted in Up and Coming Bloggers
Randall Cornett is the author of randLIFE.com, an up-and-coming blog which teaches you how to “make the most of your web site.” Randall’s blog topics include: advertising, business, web development, SEO, technology, and blogging tips.
Randall has been blogging since February and writes both with consistency and quality. He is eager to share all of the knowledge about marketing and web development which he has learned over the past several months.
Randall is a 17 year old student and aspiring entrepreneur. He is about to graduate high school and pursue his degree in business. In his spare time, he writes informative and newsworthy articles on his blog. Randall is very dedicated to making something of himself and helping people along the way, too.
Some of my favorite posts of Randall’s include:
- 7 Levels of Making Money from your blog!
- 10 Content Producing Tools!
- How do you feel about paid reviews?
Randall has graciously disabled the NoFollow tag for commentators and that means free Google juice.

I asked Randall if blogging is something he would do if there were no benefits to it. In other words, is blogging truly fun for him? This was his response:
Of course. I’m a strong believer that if your blogging with the intentions just to make money, you are not going anywhere. I love blogging, and will continue doing it for a long time!
Randall is dedicated to developing his blog into a well-known and informative resource for web developers, traffic builders, bloggers and entrepreneurs.
Randall Is Hosting a Contest
Randall has recently discovered the traffic-generation benefits from holding a contest. If you review his blog, you are entered into his contest to win $100. Anyone can enter and the winner will be randomly chosen from the entrants.
A Few Suggestions for Randall
- Use more pictures and photos. As I talked about recently in my 5 Ways to Make Your Posts More Readable article, pictures are a great way to visually communicate the message of your post. They also break up the text which makes the layout flow better.
- Add a photo of yourself. When we can put a face on a blog, it gives it a much more personal touch. It also adds a sense of familiarity after we have been reading a blog for a while.
- Gauge the opinion of your readers. One great way you can do this is by writing a post on a particular topic that may be controversial, and then include a poll to track the opinions. You can use this information for future articles on that particular subject or even start a new topic of conversation.
Conclusion
Randall is very serious and dedicated, especially for only being 17. He has also done a great job with his blog over the past several months and I expect he will amass a large and loyal audience in the not-too-distant future.
I highly recommend you check out Randall’s blog, randLIFE.com - it is a great mix of both personal and useful information that is sure to help anyone make the most of their web site.

I’ve visited Randall’s blog before on a recommendation from another blog (Jane May)…but i can see why Randall’s being noticed by so many notable bloggers. His writing and articles are very informative and far superior to what regular 17 year olds write.
